ABOUT

Headstart Australia is a family owned and operated Centre that has been serving the Allora community since 2006. Starting in 1990, Headstart opened their doors in Warwick with their first Centre. Headstart grew to three Centres in Warwick, one in Allora, and a School Age Care Centre. Now, over 25 years later the Headstart legacy has been past through the family in order to bring education, wonder, friendship and joy to the next generation of children.

Headstart caters for all children from 6 weeks of age through to Pre-Prep children. We offer large, inviting and educational environments for children to learn and play in while at Headstart. Children and families will enjoy the Mixed Age Room for our babies and toddlers, and the Kindy Room for our kindergarten and pre-prep children. All rooms offer dedicated programs designed to cater for your child's individual needs, interests and abilities; this includes our Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program.

Our team at Headstart is highly qualified with years of experience in the field of early years education. Our Educators hold Certificates or Diplomas in Children's Services, First Aid qualification, Child Protection training, and Blue Card Working with Children checks. Our Early Childhood Teacher operating the Kindergarten Program also holds his Bachelor of Early Years Educations.

At Headstart we constantly promote the benefits of quality child care for children's development in their first five years of life. We also understand that child care can be costly. That is why Headstart offers affordable care options for families, from one to five days of care per week. We also offer a FREE child care program for Kindy and Pre-Prep children who enrol 5 days per week. Simply give us a call to find out if your are eligible for this program.

National Quality Standards

The National Quality Standard (NQS) is a key aspect of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and sets a national benchmark for early childhood education and care services in Australia.

The major benefits for parents and children include:

* Improved educator to child ratios

* Greater individual care and attention for children

* Educators with increased skills and qualifications

* Better support for children’s learning and development

* A national register to help parents assess the quality of education and care services in their area

The NQS introduces ratings for children's education and care services. The ratings cover Australian long day care, family day care, outside school hours care and some preschools/kindergartens.

Headstart is currently Meeting all National Quality Standards.
